I'm pretty good at remembering faces but terrible with names, so i'm quite useful in the faces round at quizzes! I think it's to do with my artsy fartsy nature, i'm always drawn to the visuals.
I've just popped into my local gallery, a nice thing to do on a Saturday especially as I primarily went in for the cafe. They do some lovely home made foods and I needed to eat something more substantial, as of late i've been eating all of the wrong things because i've been here, there and everywhere. The only trouble is there arem't enough tables so whist I sat reading, two elderly laddies sat with me, then moved on to a better table with view and then a lovely couple sat with me. They were happy to chat and I ended up telling them about my English course and places to go in Nam for some lunch. I think I know of most places to go as I do tend to eat out alot.
Anyway back to faces, whilst typing this the mumbling man was seated near me, i've seen him in the library, benches and elsewhere, he's often with a paper wittering away about something. He's not a tramp in fact quite well dressed just a character like the trolley man and Dancing Ken... yes where i live we have names for these folk, I'm not one to lable..honestly..ahem but I do have nick-names for my neighbours. I seem to recognise these characters of Nam, I seem to be about town as often as them...but I only tend to witter to my nearest and dearest...I hope so anyway!!
The reason I've started on about faces is because the exhibition had some exquisite minature portraits which dated back to the 1600's. The displays showed a range of keepsakes including the mobile phone! as phones with pictures of your loved ones are the present day version of minatures...ahhh how sweet. I enjoy looking closely at the paintings, observing the cracks, techniques and thinking about who painted them, the subject and the era they were created, I do get lost in the romanticism of paintings, photography and film.
I'll stop wittering now. Looking forward to seeing Brokeback Mounting later, so many films I want to see at the moment.
Have a good week
By the way mumbling man has just started laughing to himself....I want what he's on...or maybe not ;-)

Hey that was cool, cafe posts rock. And I forget names too, but usually not the faces.
Have fun at the movies, have fun trying to understand Innis ; )
Best sight ever - mumbling man being told to shut up by Glaswegian Man.
Was the Glaswegian more or less audible than mumbling man? ;-)
Does mumbling man have white grey hair that looks a bit like a pair of wings on his head? If so he feel asleep drunk on the steps of my office the other week. Oh and trollyman's real name is Derek.
