Encouraged to shop in Lush since receiving a wonderful service and various free goodies from a friend in the Oxford's branch, I seeked out Nhams version.
I like to potter and browse in a shop especially in this kind of shop where the colours of the soaps are
'lush' and I like to have a good gander at products first and read labels to see what they promise to do; but I was pounced on by a guy who was wanting to hard sell. I politely said I wanted to browse as I could sense as soon as I was to say I was looking for Birthday gifts he'd be onto me about every possible bath bomb variable and gift pack going.
So anyway I left the shop and went into the Body Shop opposite- the rival!!! didn't see anything I liked so I braved it back into Lush hoping not to meet that guy again but no- the same guy saw me and remarked that I'd decided to come back and he offered help so I took him up on his offer this time not wanting to offend. He quickly aimed for a gold bomb which would stain any bath tub and person so I told him I was looking to buy for friends. He began carefully putting one bath bomb in a tiny bag and then the second in another- I appreciated the help; then he saw new people come into the shop and he instantly moved off to greet his new potential customers. Well so much for customer care and seeing through the job, fortunately I didn't lose my nerve and start dropping bath bombs about the place and make a mess which was highly likely with me.
I feel this rant is petty but when I worked in shops in the past you stuck by your customer til the bitter end of their needs...
