Into the darkness

Saw Notes on a Scandal for a second time last night as my better half fancied seeing it too. The fact that Patrick Marber wrote the screen play and we happen to be rehearsing Marber's play Closer is by the by. Great script and great acting. Judi Dench plays a woman like you've never seen Judi play before, she reminded me of one of the croanies who used to hang out with Francis Bacon in those old smokey back street pubs of London. Cate Blanchett is enchanting and I can see why she was well cast as the character for whom they all seem to fall for. We saw this one after recently seeing quite violent based films which made a pleasant change. The Last King of Scotland was by far the best out of Apocollypto and Blood Diamond. films, films, films... possibly a bit of Hot Fuzz next.....

Will be getting up close but not necessarily personal with props and furniture later for Closer; going under the stage in a hunt for furniture, just hope I don't bump into the Playhouse ghost.

Want to see Judi in Mrs Henderson Presents again. There's a beautiful Will Young song on the soundtrack called 'All the things you are.' Cate's best movie for me is Veronica Guerin.
Hey, have you seen the old swimming pool under the Playhouse? It sounds like quite a relic.

Under the stage, eh? Wink Wink.

Hope you and the Cavy had a great Valentines Day! And I'm quite certain that you are the better half. We always are you know.

Jake:- I was under the stage last night near the spooky coffins and old sofas, I get all the glam jobs :>) yes i've seen the walls of the old swimming pool, it's quite an amazing quirky place. luckily the guys didn't shut the trap door on me and leave me there all night!

Stellarlassy: yes and yes, we spent Valentines eve at the cinema which was nice.. I received 3 Valentines and none were from Cavy, all very mysterious, well I think one was from a friend as a wind up :>)
