Come on over a little closer

Time again to trot down to the Playhouse and help the DeepEnders bring a play to life. This time I'm Producer or Assistant Director on Closer, my partner 'Culfy' the director has yet to decide what my role is- i'm not fussed on titles just want to be sure that I sort out what's needed to be done...
So off we'll pop with duvet covers, pillows, sheets, scripts and blocking diagrams for some scene creating.

We're having about 6 rehearsals before xmas to get the actors into their parts and 'knowing' eachother in plenty of time for the run next March 2007!

So here's to another show, this time only 4 actors to worry about, no ne we hope will be dissing the director's schedule management and hopefully some interesting acting will develop over the course of the rehearsals. As an observer the last two shows i've helped on the actors haven't been pushed enough, not that i'm the task master type at all! :>)

will keep you posted :>)

Sounds like you have some intense but fascinating work ahead. I am sure it will be a wonderful show! And to answer your question on my blog, I will be playing "Mrs. Treadwell" in "The Ruling Class." She's a church lady who visits the Earl's house on two occasions. :)

I saw the film in a shop the other day, as the 60's clasics are now being released, that's the one with Peter O'Toole playing a dandy foppish character!... I think

Yes, that is correct. I think he may have won an award for that role...
