Wear your sparklies to work day

Today at work a touch of glamour took us a minute or two away from the usual work drudge- a woman parraded her sparkly quartz encrusted high heeled slingbacks around the office in the name of 'breaking them in'. Asked why by one girl- she said "I'm getting them ready for a wedding", well tis up to her but at work my footsies need comfyness and I can't imagine teetering about the photocopier while hoping not to fall over all in name of wedding prep- or maybe I was just jealous- one Dutch woman with a renowned booming voice was not impressed and asked- is the wedding today- but a nice touch came from a 6ft and the rest guy who asked if he could get them in a size 12.

I've heard rumours that the woman in question has spent £300 on shoes before- well if you've got the money you might as well flaunt and enjoy it- either she has a rich partner or i'm definately in the wrong job at work!! :>)

I'm all for anything sparkly, but I just cannot bring myself to wear a heel higher than 2 inches. There comes a point where it's better to LOOK at such shoes, but to wear flats.

On occasion I forget how uncomfortable my heels are, and I wear them. And I pray that I don't fall and kill myself. 300 quid on shoes? Holy Hell NO!

I keep my heels for out of work times!

Bet she started the rumour that they cost 300 quid herself! Sounds like a bit of attention seeking to me........

She didn't get a great amount of attention from me, I have to say- I had too much work to do :(

That's an obscene amount for a pair of shoes. What a waste! I like the guy's comment.

I joined in with two girls nattering about the shoe moment today- one of them said- they could've been from Barrett's who'd know (that's a High St shop where I frequent)- I worry about paying £45-50 for a pair of shoes!

Now what could you buy for £300?

Load of camping gear and tent! (a guy at work has just bought a caravan- think they cost more than £300
an ipod and camera

a small sofa from Argos

a return ticket to Dubai and still have some spending money

tickets for a group of mates to see Madge??
