Inner turmoils

Well here we are again. I'm sure weekends are speeding up. Friday I did front of house and firewatch for the Son of Man. What better way to spend a Friday night than seeing a show for free and being on guard in case sparks were to fly from the torches. Fortuantely I didn't need to spring into action.
It was an amazing play, hope it wins some awards. I know i'm biased as my other half was in it but still it was worthy of it's critique in the local rag.
A crowd of us went to see the last night too. I'm not a religious person but I'm interested in religions so it was a great play for inspiring people to talk about the play's meaning, the need to follow and why people need a faith. Dennis Potter who wrote the play had a way of unleashing a man's inner turmoils. The play portrayed Jesus and his struggle to accept that he was actually the son of god and couldn't just be a man with everyday thoughts and needs. I can see the links with Potter's Singing Detective, another character where a man is trapped within his own body through disease. How his sexual urges, needs to be human, interact with people and do everyday things as well as write are scuppered and taken for granted by the medics.

After all of the heavy seriousness of this play, we watched Woody Allen's Everything you needed to know about sex but was afraid to ask and a Bond, Octopussy, some light relief is what you need sometimes.

Sounds fun working the show. Spouse keeps bugging me to rent that woody allen film.

Gosh weekends are short aren't they?

If you have a fondness for sheep and wearing ladies clothes it'll be just your cup of tea. ;>)

Oh and something huge, but I don't want to give it all away!

It's cool that you get to be so up close and personal for that.
